MARKET UPDATE

November 2019 was down in volume from last year, with 9 fewer sales for the month than in 2018. There were also far fewer sales in the upper end of the market last month than the year previous, resulting in a substantially lower average sale price. This November, Canmore had only 2 sales above $1,000,000 including one South Canmore home sale over $2,000,000. The average sale price of property in Canmore last month was $664,971. In November 2018, there were 10 sales over $1,000,000, including 2 sales over $2,000,000, which resulted in an unusually high average sale price of $812,086.

New listings for the month of November 2019 were a total of 50, which is on par with the last November’s new listings total of 51.

The current number of listings on the market in Canmore are 201 properties.

FABULOUS FESTIVE COCKTAIL – THE POMEGRANATE ROSEMARY SPRITZER

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 bottle prosecco
  • 2 ounces peach schnapps
  • 4 teaspoons fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 4 ounces pom juice
  • 1 small bottle mango flavored soda water
  • 6-8 sprigs rosemary
  • 1 fresh pomegranate
  • .5 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Add 1 cup of water to a small pan with 2-3 sprigs of rosemary, bring to a boil.
  • Add sugar to boiling water and stir until sugar dissolves.
  • Remove from heat, strain rosemary leaves and set to cool.
  • Clean and de-seed pomegranate. Set seeds aside.
  • Pour Prosecco evenly into 4 cocktail glasses.
  • Add .5 ounces of peach schnapps, .5 ounces rosemary simple syrup, 1 teaspoon lemon juice, 1 ounce pom juice and a splash of mango soda water to each glass and stir.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of pomegranate seeds to each glass.
  • Allow the pomegranate seeds time to float to the top of the glass and garnish with 1 sprig of rosemary.

NOTES

Best if made with chilled prosecco and peach schnapps, or with 1 – 2 ice cubes if needed.

Rare Piece of Canmore History for Sale!
